Tassel Belts
Every tribal dancer needs a tassel belt. I just started wearing them myself and they are WAY too much fun! Have one made for you in your choice of colors and fabrics. The one pictured has a tie in front and fat flying tassels all around with brass bells as an accent and would cost you $55. I have seen similar belts listed at up to three times that much! Yikes. Tiraz Strips
During the medieval period, many people wore fabric bands around their upper arms, at first just to cover a seam, but later woven and embroidered with names, mottos, and inspirational quotes. I am making them in your choice of colors, materials, and script. The standard is black silk cross-stitched on white cotton fabric. I can also do metallic couching or satin embroidery. You provide the quote in Arabic or I can do it my Kalila wa Dimna pseudo-Arabic script which you can see on the Scribal pages. Pictured is my son wearing his good tunic. One arm says, "Please may I play your drum?" and the other is "I am painfully cute."
